Neutral is an alignment in ADOM. Neutral characters are generally seen as being neither swayed towards order nor chaos; or perhaps swayed equally towards either.

The PC[править | править исходный текст]

Initial neutrality[править | править исходный текст]

Humans, gray elves, gnomesdrakelings, mist elves and ratlings  begin the game neutral; unless affected by class (playing as a Healer or Necromancer) or star sign. If the PC is a Druid , their alignment will be tipped towards neutral.

Acts of Balance[править | править исходный текст]

Acts of balance draw the PC's alignment towards N=; meaning that being N- or more chaotic will result in an alignment boost, and being N or more lawful will result in an alignment drop. Paragons of Order need to beware of the latter. Thus far, very few acts of balance are known to exist.

Social standing[править | править исходный текст]

Neutral PCs suffer from very little prejudice in Ancardia. They are only shunned by the demented ratling and Gaab'Baay -- whom will only do business with chaotic PCs.

Relationship with deities[править | править исходный текст]

Neutral PCs are not allowed to sacrifice neutral monsters to their deities. Likewise, neutral NPCs cannot sacrifice the PC to theirs.

NPCs[править | править исходный текст]

All natural creatures are neutral, as well as some humanoid monsters.

Notable neutral NPCs in Ancardia are Guth'Alak and the ratling rebel. Fulfillment of their wishes are considered acts of balance.
