Writhing mass of primal chaos is a type of monster in ADOM. WMoPCs attack several times per turn. Their attacks corrupt upon damaging hits, and can slow down the PC (halving their speed); if the latter occurs, the PC will need to survive a *lot* of attacks per turn against these foes. They can also smash doors. They are healed completely by corrupting attacks -- which the PC will inflict if either they are wielding a weapon of corruption or have the 'attached to cHaOs' corruption.
WMoPCs are semi-sentient life forms created when a living being has their body completely taken over by chaos; this can happen to weak monsters that are exposed to too much radiation from (e.g.) corruption traps, and can prove hazardous to PCs in the early game. Early game PCs relying on melee combat would be wise to avoid any they meet if possible; PCs armed with magic and missiles should be able to deal with them for a relatively large xp yield. Note that WMoPCs created from corruption inherit many of the attributes (eg. HP, speed) of the original monster. Several very high levelled WMoPCs are found on D:50, and are summoned en masse by chaos wizards.
Level: 1, DV: 35, PV: 3, Hits: 40, Attacks: 6, Damage: 6-16. Speed: 100.

Игровое описание (Monster memory)[править | править исходный текст]
These foot soldiers in Chaos' army are the cruelest mockeries of Law -- fallen heroes, once-great forces for Law, and even an occasional innocent bystander -- all mutated by the rampaging forces of Chaos. Now merely a congealed mass of body parts, these hideous abominations are capable of striking from each of its many mouths, claws, horns, and other miscellaneous appendages, the corrupting energies that fuel them spreading to all they touch. Their one weakness may be that their minds have also been destroyed by the transformations. Tread wary around these... THINGS..., brave adventurer, lest ye become one...
